NDA organises 3rd Nagaland Fashion Week 2022

The 3rd edition of the Nagaland Fashion Week 2022, organised by the Nagaland Designers’ Association (NDA) kicked off to a great start at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, 6th Mile, Sovima, Chümoukedima, under the theme, “Naturally Nagaland – going glocal”. The inaugural day was graced by special invitees, member NBRC, Dr. Tolto Metha and dealer principal ISUZU Nagaland, Among Imkong.
The event focuses on incorporating locally-produced organic fabrics into artistic concepts and expressions while giving it a commercial and brand value thereby aiming to promote and encourage the budding organic textile industry in Nagaland.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tolto Mehta exhorted the Nagaland Designers’ Association who under the leadership of Rosou Rhi and through the Nagaland Fashion Week have brought to life the rich and exuberant state of fashion in Nagaland.
He also stressed that government should give further incentives and support to the NDA. The first day of the event was five rounds showcase of collections by the designers Shasha, Tato Venyo, Temsusunep & Rhiisii Grace, Mitchel Düvichu, Suresh Arubam.
The showstopper for the night was Nirupama Laishram and the choreographer for the event was Sanjeev Tamang. Opang Jamir was the host for the evening while Khrütsolu Vero serenaded the audience with her beautiful performance.
Nagaland Fashion Week 2022 is sponsored by Department of Sericulture, Nagaland and Department of Tourism, Nagaland while the event partners were Food Kingdom as beverage partner, Ni Chuka as food partner and NLTV as media partner, Livemaster Studio as digital partner, Zip Sound System as sound partner and Shiu Lights as lightings partner.
