NDPP Phek region office inaugurated

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) president Chingwang Konyak inaugurated a new office of the party for Phek region at Phek district headquarters on Thursday.
The inauguration coincided with NDPP president’s state tour along with host of party leaders, legislators and others, a press note by NDPP media and communication committee stated.
In his speech, Chingwang encouraged party leaders and workers in all five assembly constituencies in Phek region to have better coordination and understanding to strengthen NDPP. He also stressed on the pre-poll alliance between NDPP and BJP.
He said the seat sharing formula of 2018 Assembly election was on an experimental basis, which turned out to be a huge success. He remarked that “with or without a political solution, election will come one day” and hence called upon the party workers to be prepared for the election that might come sooner than later.
Earlier, the inaugural program was led by Kupota Khesoh, former NDPP candidate, while “Act of Blessing” was pronounced by Phek Town Baptist Church associate pastor Ngutsolo Therie.
After the inaugural function, a programme was held for party workers led by NDPP general secretary (central) Dr K Hoshi and while Phek region president Mosonyi Domeh delivered the welcome address.
He also welcomed new leaders and members from other political parties who had joined NDPP.
Other NDPP functionaries also addressed the gathering and encouraged party workers to remain united and work hard to strengthen the party.
Meanwhile, former Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) president Vevoyi D Vadeo joined the NDPP at Pfutsero Town along with party workers from other political parties.
A folk tune was presented by Juve Juyi Kro on the occasion. The meeting concluded with a benediction pronounced by Wangtai Konyak, pastor of Konyak Baptist Fellowship, Phek Town.
