NEDF releases manifesto

Northeast Democratic Front launched its party manifesto on February 18 spearheaded by party president Lima Longkumer along with official executive members. The delegates in attendance for the launch were Meghalaya and Assam unit.
The party manifesto is based on the party motto, “Power to the People” emphasising on justice, unity, progress and development.
The objectives of the party are; to sustain the private sector-led economic growth sectors; provide, reactive, rehabilitate and maintain infrastructure; employ measures to uplift the economy and generate employment; encourage the establishment of small-scale, micro and cottage industries in rural areas; strengthen women societies to make them more effective in the process of ensuring the empowerment of the women; and sustainable agriculture especially in the rural areas.
