Neihunuo receives Padma Shri Award

President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the Padma Shri Award, 2023 to Neihunuo Sorhie from Nagaland in the field of Art, at a Civil Investiture Ceremony-I at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.
Altogether 54 Padma Awards were conferred for the year 2023, which includes three Padma Vibhushan, four Padma Bhushan and 47 Padma Shri awards.
The ceremony was also attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, host of Central leaders and other dignitaries.
