Neikha inaugurates new building of GHS Sakhabama

Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha on Saturday, inaugurated the new building of Government High School Sakhabama, constructed under Samagra Shiksha.
Addressing the gathering, Neikha said a government school was run in each and every village of the state “to reach the people with the educational requirements.”
He, however said with the introduction of private schools, many families tend to send their children to study in reputed private schools as they felt that government schools did not provide quality education.
In this regard, the advisor said the government has introduced many schemes and projects to develop the educational system till date.
He said enrolment of a smaller number of students did not define a government school as bad, compared to a private school.
Neikha urged upon all to give their best effort to upgrade GHS Sakhabama to higher secondary in the near future.
The advisor also appealed to the parents not to think that their part was over once they send their children to school but to always guide them with their activities since “the root of student was firstly embedded by their parents at home.”
Further, Neikha expressed happiness on the assurance of the School Education department to construct a teachers’ quarter, bring more teachers for students to compete in the advanced educational system and hostel for students.
At the programme, GHS Sakhabama head master Rukuvito Kikhi shared a brief report of the school while director GethemGo Sports International Dr Viposa Kiso proposed vote of thanks.
Special secretary to government of Nagaland, School Education department, Kevileno Angami and director of School Education Wonthungo Tsopoe also attended the programme.
