Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has strongly urged the PWD (R&B), Government of Nagaland to uphold the tripartite agreement signed between the department, the contractors and NFHRCC for an effective and transparent implementation of the works along with the respective Tribal Hohos in their respective jurisdictions.
In a press release, NFHRCC convenor Supu Jamir, co-convenor Hokiye Yepthomi, general secretary W Lemba Chang and assistant general secretary Chenithung Humtsoe also urged the department to award the works judiciously only to the “reasonable contractors/firms with sound financial and technical backings” to execute the works.
Further, NFHRCC appealed to the department not to entertain any abnormal rates quoting by the bidding contractors in order to maintain good workmanship quality while executing the tasks. Recently, the committee had appealed to the contractor to complete the bridge construction by February 2022 without any compromise on the quality of works executed.
