Nitin Kumar wins Hornbill Darts Masters


Nitin Kumar emerged as the champion of the 4th Hornbill Darts Masters 2022, which was organized by Fun Tree Crew (FTC) in collaboration with the state tourism department at Heritage, Old DC bungalow here on December 2.
Nitin Kumar walked away with Rs 50,000, a trophy and a certificate while Sangam Roy, who finished second, received Rs 30000 besides trophy and certificate.
The Most 180s was secured by Suketu Ahir (3), while best leg by Sangam Roy (14 darts) and best checkout by Mudit Sadani (130), Most promising player was awarded to Neinenuo Souhu, who got Rs 30,000 cash prize and dart board.
While in the team event, Triple ringers clinched the champion title and received cash prize of Rs. 1,20,000; Team Curzor came, which came second, got Rs. 80,000 cash prize and joint third was won by Metal Gears and Dark Knights—Rs. 30,000 (x2).
Advisor for Tourism, Art & Culture, Khehovi Yepthomi, who graced the event as guest of honour, urged the Nagas to use their inner talent and utilize the opportunities provided to them. He also encouraged them to maintain discipline and make good use of the resources available to them.
Advisor appealed to the organisers not be discouraged by initial hiccups but continue to strive for excellence. Malaysian Darts Association president, Nancy Ambrose, also spoke at the event.
Earlier, FTC president, Christopher Vizo, delivered welcome address while vote of thanks was proposed by FTC member, Theja Kire. Special performances included Kekhrie Ringa (The Boho Singer) and Naga Manu: Moko Koza (INFINITY INC).
