NNC (PB) welcomes NBCC sesquicentennial resolution

Naga National Council (Parent Body) under the leadership of Yilow Humtsoe, Zhiongba Yimkhiung and V Nagi appreciated and welcomed the resolutions adopted during the sesquicentennial celebration of 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland on November 19 and 20, 2022 at NBCC Convention Hall, Kohima on the theme “Celebrating His Story”. NNC (PB) through its information & publicity wing, termed this as truly a historic and blessed celebration of Christianity in Nagaland. NNC said it praised living God and thanked Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) for organising the historic mega event in the interest of all Christians in the homeland and Christians at large.
It declared full support to the resolutions, especially resolutions no. 9 and 10 that stated “to stand firm and be true to the commitment as responsible citizens of the land and as agents playing a proactive role on issues of Christian social responsibility. And to work for greater unity and better understanding among various pursuits and conflicts that divide and damage the historical harmony of the Nagas. To this end, the NBCC affirm their shared oneness and resolved to stand in the gap in their collective search for political solution that is non-violent, just and honourable.”
According to NNC, this was a dutiful Christian-led responsibility and stood for Naga people and Naga national workers in particular during this urgent time.
It thus urged NBCC to implement the resolutions in the best interest of homeland and all people concerned, while wishing that may the living God bless and help NBCC to fulfil the commitments for the glory of God.
