Norman Putsure College sports meet comncludes

Norman Putsure College, Chumukedima, held its first sports week from February 7 to 10. The Inaugural session commenced with flag hoisting and torch lighting ceremonies on February 7.
The students were divided into four houses, namely- the Aqua house, the Ignis house, the Terra house and the Ventus house. The contest amongst the four houses was the flag competition and a total of about 20 indoor and outdoor games were played. To appraise and acquaint the younger generations, two indigenous games- the bamboo stilt race and the greased bamboo pole climbing were introduced.
The Ignis house emerged as the champion of the first sports week of the college. The programme culminated with prize distribution and closing ceremony.
It may be mentioned that the college sports week was part of the co- curricular activities of the college which is to induce and motivate the students to be physically active.
