Northeast CSO Network meet culminates

YouthNet hosted the Northeast Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Network Meet 2022. The two-day meet was organized by Quest Alliance in Kohima and Kisama on December 6 and 7.
In a press release, Youthnet through its media cell informed that 16 CSOs from across the Northeast participated in the meet to address the key challenges and push for policy action and reform.
The meet culminated with the Green Innovation Award with Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) joint secretary, Reny Wilfred (IAS) as the special guest. Under innovations, the CSOs identified 5 innovators in the Northeast spearheading ‘Green Innovation’ which focused on driving sustainable development ranging from green entrepreneurs working in areas of waste management, sustainable food production, to freelance creators documenting the environmental challenges.
The winners of the Green Innovation Award 2022 were; Thejaviko Chase, Nagaland, Vivian Pajuh, Grassroots, Meghalaya, LP Albert, Amyaa, Arunachal Pradesh, Peihauding, Nguire, Nagaland and Paul Lokho, ProRural, Nagaland.
Youthnet also highlighted that, Quest Alliance was an organization based in Bangalore. It has been anchoring a CSO network for the North East region which was conceptualized in the early 2020. This network consists of sixteen NGO partners from across the region. All the partners contribute in various sectors of development which ranges from child rights, youth employability, livelihoods, rural development to name a few.
