Notun Bosti Council clarifies

Notun Bosti Council (NBC) Dimapur said it has taken serious note of some vested interest persons circulating an old picture and text message on social media of an incident which took place in 2014 to create communal tension.
In a press note, NBCD Imkongnukshi Imchen and secretary Kavito Ayemi said the incident took place in 2014 where one Naga– Kughalu Chophy, was attacked by four illegal Bangladeshi immigrants (IBIs), supposedly vegetable vendors in the Notun Bosti junction bazaar area. All four were arrested, it said.
It pointed out that some vested individuals were circulating the same matter on social media/WhatsApp creating communal disturbance and disturbing peace and harmony.
While strongly condemning such act, NBC cautioned groups or individual to not circulate such matters without proper authentication. It further urged the authorities concern to identify the culprits.
