Following the victory of its five candidates in the recently held Manipur Assembly polls, NPF has dashed a letter to Manipur governor expressing support to BJP-led government. Confirming this to Nagaland Post, NPF secretary general Achumbemo Kikon said the letter of support was written keeping in mind the party’s association with BJP since 2017. To a query, he said the party expected more cabinet berths this time.
Meanwhile, five elected MLAs arrived here in the wee hours on Friday to seek the blessings of party’s central leaders.
A short felicitation programme was held at Hotel de Oriental where NPF president Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, UDA chairman TR Zeliang, Lok Sabha member (Manipur) Dr Lorho S Pfoze and NPF Manipur in-charge Vikheho Swu gave speeches.
