A two-day National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) external assessment of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Mongsenyimti, Mokokchung commenced on Tuesday.
In a press release, office of the chief medical officer (CMO) Longleng informed that the CMO, Dr. R. Chubala Aier thanked the community for their cooperation and contribution towards the PHC and urged their continual support for quality health care services.
She also welcomed the external assessors and the team from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima, staffs from Mongsenyimti PHC, HCMC, members from the community and staffs from the office of the CMO Longleng.
Medical Officer, PHC Mongsenyimti, Dr. Maongkala through a PowerPoint presentation highlighted the achievements, organogram, visions and missions.
NQAS external assessment was assessed by a two-member team of empanelled external assessors, project director, Lucknow, Col. Dr. R.K. Agarwal and additional SMO, Health Department, Haryana, Dr. Vikas Moudgil.
CMO Longleng office informed that the NQAS certification programme was the highest national quality certification for public health facilities, which was launched in the year 2013 to improve the quality in health care services.
PHC Mongsenyimti is the first PHC in Nagaland to qualify for NQAS external assessment, informed CMO Longleng office.
The NQAS external assessment would conclude on May 18.
