NSCN (I-M) bans nightclubs

NSCN (I-M) UT has informed that all discos/pubs/nightclubs within the UT jurisdiction should shut operations with immediate effect.
In a press note, UT secretary John M Yimkhiung informed caretaker CAO UT after receiving numerous complaints from the public, has also prohibited gathering of people at night, particularly in State Stadium, Agri Expo 4th Mile and other such places, where they indulge in alcohol consumption, illegal drugs and immoral activities creating nuisance in the area and occasionally resulting in the violence.
UT informed that its personnel and staff would conduct checking in the mentioned places regularly, adding that the “defaulters shall be liable for strict action.” For more information, one could contact UT office at 9774479592.
