NSF Martyrs’ Trophy: New Market hammer Go Live 9-0

New Market FC registered a huge 9-0 win over Go Live in the NSF Martyrs’ Trophy at IG Stadium, Kohima on Friday.
Rhitso Mero was the hero of the match as he scored six goals.
He scored the first in the 16th minute. Mero then added five more goals in the 21st, 34th, 36th, 53rd and 90th minutes.
With his exceptional achievement on Friday, Mero is now the highest scorer with nine goals to his credit. The other goals were scored by Neisede Peseyie, Petevizo Kezieo and Gideon Leo in the 38th, 59th and 83rd minutes respectively.
New Market’s Neisede Peseyie was adjudged as the man of the match.
In the second match, Bucaneers FC emerged victorious through a tie breaker against Kelhoukevira FC after the match ended 1-1. Bucaneers’ Rajuvikuo Khawakhrie netted the first goal of the match in the 15th minute which remained as the only goal in the first half.
Later, in the second half, Kelhoukevira’s Amesi scored the equalizer in the 48th minute.
The match headed for the inevitable penalty shootout as the final whistle was blown. Bucaneers emerged victorious 3-1 in the tie breaker.
The man of the match was awarded to Kelhoukevira’s Mhieneizotuo Lhousa.
