The Nagaland State Human Rights Commission (NSHRC) led by its chairman justice S. Serto with member NSHRC, R. Nzanbemo Lotha and NSHRC secretary, Limanenla attended the two-day conference of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) of Asia Pacific Countries hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of India on September 20 and 21 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
A press release from secretary NSHRC, Limanenla informed that the conference was inaugurated by the president of India, Droupadi Murmu wherein series of seminars and discussions followed on the topic Climate Change and Human Rights and advancing human rights in business and industry.
The conference was attended by heads and senior officials of NHRIs from 25 member countries and 6 observer countries of Asia Pacific Region with representatives of various UN agencies, diplomats, prominent CSOs, eminent citizens and stakeholders.
