NYKS Dimapur organises youth leadership training

Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Dimapur under the ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, Immanuel College, Dimapur, conducted training on youth leadership and community development at conference hall, Immanuel College on Saturday.
At the programme, resource person, founder & CEO, Pinnacle skills, Dimapur Dr. Yan Murry, stressed on youth leadership and leadership qualities to develop for the future. He encouraged the students to have a vision, willing to adapt change, prioritizing networking and communication and focus on preparation and risk management. He also spoke about his successful journey on becoming a social entrepreneur.
Soft skills instructor, Pinnacle skills, Dimapur Komuni Kayina stressed on equipping leadership traits and encouraged the students on how to acquire leadership skills through acquiring exceptional communication skills, personality development, life skills (soft skills), interpersonal skills, time management, adaptability, work ethic and to be a creative thinker.
United Nations Volunteer and former DYO, NYKS, Dimapur, Mary Kent, in her speech spoke on community development through volunteerism with active participation by involving all the students through group activities.
Around 50 students attended the programme.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by NYV, NYKS Y. Chingong, welcome address by NSS Program officer, Immanuel college Hriizia Lazeo, musical rendition by Thungchanthung Ezung and vote of thanks by NYV, NYKS Kaka Lotha.
