One killed in hit-and-run case

One non-local male died on spot following a hit-and-run incident near Dimapur Toll Tax Burma Camp, Dimapur. Police said the incident happened around 3:30 a.m., Saturday morning. In a press release, Dimapur police PRO informed that the deceased, an unidentified pedestrian aged between 28-30 years height 5’3 ft (approximate), was hit and ran over by an unknown vehicle.
Police said the said pedestrian sustained head injury and died on the spot. The deceased was wearing blue/red checked shirt, blue jean pant, black belt and a pair of red slippers.
After observing all legal formalities, PRO informed that the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur morgue for identification and post mortem examination and a case has been registered.
