Rengma Mothers’ Association (RMA) and Odyutsu Ekhung (OE) Wokha have separately condemned the murder of Terilo Odyuo alias Lucy Kent (Terilo) daughter of late Nzanbemo Odyuo of Bhandari Village allegedly by her husband Logvusen Kent son of late Kegloalo Kent of Tseminyu Village, a resident of Tsokhinsin Colony, Tseminyu Town.
In a condemnation note, RMA vice president, Priscilla Seb and general secretary, Elizabeth Kemp expressed shock at the “indiscriminate killing” of an innocent woman, who has the fundamental right to be safe and protected from violence. RMA said such barbaric act was unacceptable under any circumstances and that it deserved to be condemned by all sections of the society.
The association has urged the administration to punish the culprit as deemed fit and deliver justice at the earliest. Further, RMA has extended its deepest condolences and solidarity to the bereaved family members.
OE: Odyutsu Ekhung, HQ Wokha has strongly condemned the murder of Lucy Terilo on January 7 near Millenium Prayer & Healing Centre, Tseminyu village allegedly by her husband.
Condemning the murder, OE chairman, K.M Odyuo and joint secretary, Wojamo Odyuo have strongly urged to the law enforcing authority to not grant bail and award life imprisonment to the accused.
Further, the Ekhung has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God to grant comfort at this time of grief, and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
