Organisations condemn alleged murders

Odyuo Ekhung Wokha Unit (OEWU) has vehemently condemned the gruesome and heinous murder of late Terilo (Lucy) Odyuo daughter of late Nzanbemo Odyuo on January 7 allegedly by her husband, Logvusen Kent son of late Kegloalo Kent at Tseminyu village.
In a condemnation note, OEWU chairman, Er. Limhathung Odyuo and secretary, L. Ezanthung Odyuo have demanded “befitting punishment for life imprisonment to the murderer” as per the law of the land.
While extending solidarity condolences to the bereaved family, the Ekhung has also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
WCMA: Western Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (WCMA) has vehemently condemned the brutal murder of late Khrutalü allegedly by her husband, Thejakolie Mayase and accomplice on December 24 at New Reserved Colony, Kohima.
In a condemnation note, WCMA president, S. Nezolu Rhakho and WCMA general secretary, Kevezolu Tetseo said such dastardly act committed to the victim was beyond human comprehension.
WCMA said the crime was not only committed against the victim but against all womenfolk and the society, tarnishing the good image of the Naga society.
Stating that it would not tolerate such crimes that endanger safety of women in the society, WCMA appealed the law enforcing agencies to go deep into the vicinity of matter and thoroughly investigate and make sure that perpetrator(s) are severely punished so that such act was not repeated in the future. It has appealed to the law enforcing authorities that the culprit apprehended should not be granted bail under any circumstances.
Further, the association has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God provide them comfort at this hour of sorrow.
