Orgns flay alleged sexual assault on minors

Peshu Range Students’ Union (PRSU) and Thsoiphu (Chiphur) Paopong Union Dimapur (TPUD) have separately condemned the alleged sexual assault on four minor girls by one Prasanta Chaudhuri, a Hindi teacher of government High School Chipur village under Noklak District.
In a press release, PRSU president P Khaikho stated that a teacher was highly regarded and respectable person in a civilized society. However, PRSU said the accused teacher had “barbarically exploited” the innocent students through his act. The union has appealed to all right-thinking citizens to condemn such act. It also appealed to the law enforcing agencies to deliver justice to the victim and punish the accused under relevant laws.
Further, PRSU has appealed the responsible department to deliver justice to the innocent students.TPUD: Strongly condemning the “inhumane act” committed by hindi teacher, Thsoiphu (Chiphur) Paopong Union Dimapur stated that the “cheap act” of the accused has deeply saddened the union. In a press release, TPUD president Longkhoi and women coordinator Longkoi H said that such “sick and maniac behaviour” have no place in society and should not be tolerated at any cost.
The union has also appealed to all right-thinking citizens to condemn “such uncivilised act”. It further appealed to the law enforcing agencies to book the perpetrator under relevant sections of law and deliver justice to the victims. It demanded that the responsible department terminate “such contagious teacher who is destroying the future of the students and the community as a whole.”
