Over 20 BSF jawans on poll duty injured in mishap

In a delayed report, at least 20 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel deployed for election duty in Nagaland were injured when the bus they were travelling in reportedly went downhill some 50 feet below the road along Wokha-Mokokchung highway on Thursday.
According to reports, the bus carrying around 40 personnel reportedly developed technical snag and lost control while on the way to Zunheboto.
Police sources said that the injured BSF personnel along with three in critical condition were rushed to district hospital, Wokha. Later, the critically injured personnel were airlifted to Guwahati.
It was learnt that Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel, who were also on their way for election duty along the same route, rushed to the spot and assisted in rescuing the injured BSF personnel.
