Padmashree T. Senka’s book ‘Mortal Trials’ released in Mkg

A book titled book “Akumlir Longkong” (Mortal Trails) written by Padmashree T. Senka Ao was released by minister of Rural Development, Metsubo Jamir here on Wednesday.
Published by Woods Publishers, this was Senka’s 14th book to be released.
Metsubo said some people seek power, wealth and some work for changes but there are people like T. Senka Ao who writes for the people with no glory or honour.
He said that he was humbled after listening to the life and works of the author.
He also spoke on the importance of language and said that many village dialects were on the verge of extinction.
“Generation will come and go but our language should remain and parents need to work on teaching our children,” he said.
Metsubo further thanked the author for his contributions and urged the people to celebrate his life and works.
Chairman, Ao Senden Literature Board, Dr. Temjen Jamir congratulated the author for the release of the new book.
Helen Jamir, former principal, Fazl Ali College gave a review of the book which has 23 short stories based on true stories with morals and life’s lessons.
The author of the book, T. Senka Ao said that he wrote the book during the two year Covid 19 pandemic and thanked everyone who helped him in the publishing of his new book.
