Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) holds 46th annual social

Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) observed its 46th annual social with fervour and gaiety on September 17 under the theme “Alethes Metanoia” supported by Rage Coffee and organised by Students Union of Patkai Christian College (SUPCC) with Lt. Col. B. Sunep as guest speaker.
Besütalü Kheso and Chingpai N. Konyak both from department of Economics were adjudged Mr and Miss Patkai 2022. Chingpai N. Konyak also bagged the Mr Perfect 10 title.
Isampoile Mbungcha from department of Mass Communication bagged the title Perfect 10 and was also declared the runners-up in Miss category while Wezü Kronu got the runners-up in Mr category.
Limayala Aier and Imliakum Jamir bagged the title Miss and Mr Multimedia title respectively.
The event was judged by first runner-up Miss Asia Pacific 2016, Imlibenla Wati Neinu, Mr India International 2022, Merenzungba Longkumer and president Sparkling Star Entertainment, B. Vika Chopi.
Guest speaker Lt. Col. B. Sunep who is also the alumnus of the college addressing the gathering underscored the importance of quality education. He urged the students to take refuge in education and lead a purposeful life.
In making the students’ community understand their potential, the guest speaker called for being responsible and contributing to the growth of the nation.
Principal Dr. T Peiru in his exhortation speech, called upon the students to work hard adding that it’s the only key to great success.
“While the present generation look for instant success, it is only consistency, patience and hard work that will survive the test of time”, the principal exclaimed.
President SUPCC Luyi Chiswote credited the success of the event to the students, faculty, college authorities and Rage Coffee. The other highlights of the event were performances by Nikato Tamang, Blind Sailors and MSSM students.
Earlier, Rev. Dr. Vichukho Ngukha gave the opening prayer. SUPCC GS Weido Nyusou, Meyabenla, Temjenyanger Imti Imchen and Avila Nyuwi also spoke on the occasion.
