In a press release, deputy chief minister’s office media cell informed that the bridge constructed under CRF was inaugurated in the presence of advisor Roads and Bridges (R&B) H Chuba Chang and Er. Picto Shohe, MLA.
In his speech, Patton said the idea to build the bridge was conceived in 2014 during community fishing and the foundation was laid in the year 2017.

Patton also lauded the contractor for “speedy completion” and thanked the people of Shena Old and N. Longidang villages for extending logistic support to the contractor and the department for timely completion.
In their speeches, advisor, H Chuba Chang urged the people to help each other in times of need and use the government property with care as their own while Er. Picto said that with the bridge being built, there was a need to construct better roads for commuters.
An introduction and brief report of the project was given by NPWD engineer-in-chief, Er. Kahuli Sema; Shena Old Baptist Church Pastor Rev. Tokishe Awomi said the dedicatory prayer and Longidang Baptist Church Pastor Echungthung Ngullie pronounced the benediction.
