Pesocha Baptist Church Council (PBCC) Khriesarüü Krotho (youth) 44th convention cum music fest under the theme, “You are my witness” (Isaiah 43:10) hosted by Nerhema Baptist Church, Kohima district commenced on January 27.
A press release by PBCC youth informed that during the inaugural, PBCC president, Rev Neivilie Zuyie hoisted the convention flag and dedicated the tabernacle.
The programme was led by finance secretary PBCC youth, Kelhouvilie Kense while male voice of Khedi Baptist Church presented a song and Chedema Baptist Church blew the trumpet to herald the convergence.
Later in the vesper, speaker, youth director, Angami Baptist Church Council, Kevilhouleü S. Kehie underlined the need for understanding the purpose and call of God by heeding to the call with unreserved heart. Kehie warned that the heart could mislead when it was not rule by God and unbelieving.
The speaker also exhorted the youth to get rid of evils and introspect oneself and discover oneself to follow Christ with dedication and commitment.
In his greetings, Nerhema Baptist Church pastor, Rev. Vilanyü Üsou reminded the congregation that the youth are the greatest armour of God. He challenged them to encourage one another spiritually and make the convention and music fest, a time to re-commit their life to Christ.
During the service, Khrietseituonuo Chase read out the scripture, choral were presented by Botsa Baptist Church and Meriema Baptist Church, “memory verse” by Kijumetouma Baptist Church and a song was also presented by Tsiemekhuma Baptist Church. The programme was led by Shurhovotuo Rulho and the theme song was presented by PBCC youth officer bearers while praise and worship was led by Nagabazar Baptist Church Youth.
On the second day, on Saturday, in the morning service, Khrienuo Moa, managing director, G. Rio School, Kohima was the speaker.
She preached about the grace of God through the redemption of Jesus Christ on the cross despite mankind falling short from the glory of God.
She challenged the youth to keep their faith strong and reminded them that were prime stage to serve God, although the mission calling doesn’t have an age bar.
The programme was led by Ruokuosienuo Suohu and Koinonia Baptist Church presented a choral piece while special songs were presented by Teichüma BKK and Tsiemekhu Basa BKK and scripture were read out by Thepfuchatuo Mere and Mercy Thepa.
In the evening service, Mengusielie Kesiyie Youth Director, Pesocha Baptist Church Council was the speaker. He called upon the youth to re-commit their lives to Christ by obeying, fearing and living for Him and live in the likeness of Christ.
The programme was led by Keneingulie Rüpreo, Choral piece was presented by Khedi Baptist Church, special songs were presented by Nerhe Phezha BKK and Viphoma BKK and scripture were read out by Viphrezo Theünuo and Rüdivinuo Kense.
