PCCF and HoFF Nagaland visits Intanki National Park

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF) Nagaland, Dharmendra Prakash IFS, undertook a visit to Intanki National Park (INP) on August 20.
A press release issued by forest range officer (FRO), INP, R. Aaron Yimchunger informed that during his one-day visit to the National Park, the PCCF & HoFF inspected the facilities available at the protection camps from strong room to gymnasium, and other basic amenities for the well being of the protection forces. He also visited anti-poaching camps located within the National Park to see how monitoring and protection activities were being carried out.
During the post noon session, the PCCF & HoFF interacted with staff, where he encouraged them to be proactive, to remain fit & healthy, and to stay away from intoxicating substances in order to give the best service which will be significant for the coming generation. He also encouraged the staff to complete mandatory professional training at the earliest to remove hassle on promotional avenues. Several other issues such as uniforms, ration allowances, separate protection force service rule, posting in other forest divisions, etc were discussed.
Meanwhile, director, Intanki National Park, T. Aochuba IFS, thanked the PCCF & HoFF for taking keen interest in visiting the Park. During the interaction, he briefed on management issues of the Park and priorities to be taken up by the department for better management of the Park. The director also briefed about the present staff strength, Wildlife Habitat Management, alternative source of livelihood of the fringe communities to reduce dependency on forest and other exposure, and exchange programmes of the staffs with other well managed Parks of the country to improve protection and management practices of the Park. He concluded by calling upon staff members to render their best and dedicated efforts in the conservation and protection of the National Park for the well being of the people of the state.
