Nagaland police personnel of Narcotic Cell PS (PHQ), on September 14, arrested MD. Salman Khan (32), s/o late Md. Basinhaman, r/o Ward No-8. Kwakta Khuman, PO/PS Kwakta, Bishnupur, Manipur and Abdur Rajak (38), s/o Md. Sattar. r/0 Kshetri Bengoon, Mayai leikai, po/ps Kshetribangoon, Imphal East, Manipur, on charges of possessing suspected yaba (WY) tablets and cash of Rs. 1.5 lakh.
According to police PRO, the police personnel while conducting surprise MVCP at NH-2, intercepted one Guwahati bound XUV 500 (Black color) bearing registration number ASO1-DJ-8364, near bridge in between Khuzama and Viswema village, which was coming from Imphal, Manipur.
PRO informed that while checking the vehicle, police recovered of 15 packets containing approximately 1,50,000 and tablets of suspected yaba (WY).
In this connection, the driver along with an occupant were arrested and the illegal contraband along with the vehicle were seized.
A case with Narcotic Cell police station was registered for further investigation.
