The Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission has notified all consumers about the revised tariff for 2023-2024, which would be effective from April 1, 2023. In a press note, the department said that the revised tariff rates would have to be updated in the existing pre-paid meters, for which a one-time token would be provided in the next recharge.
It said that for Kohima, the one-time token would 120 digits (Genus make meters) and for Dimapur 40 digits (Secure make meters).
In this regard, all consumers have been asked to enter the digits in the same manner as done during recharge of the token and subsequent recharge token would be of twenty digits only. For customers facing difficulties, they may contact– 8415900400. Meanwhile, the department assured that it was putting all efforts to resolve the issue of large number of digits in the one-time recharge token.

Power department has informed that power supply to the districts of Dimapur, Chumoukedima, Niuland and Peren would be affected on April 1, 2023 from 6am to 9 am as the department would be availing shutdown of 132/66/33kV 2x100MVA Nagarjan sub-station on to facilitate routine maintenance of 132kV Bus-bar, 132/66kV 100MVA transformer & 132/33kV 100MVA transformer.
