As per its earlier declaration of May and October months as “Vegetation Clearance Months”, the power department has informed there would be shutdown of power supply in parts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren districts from October 25-29, 2022 to facilitate vegetation clearance.
In a press release, transmission division Dimapur executive engineer SI Asangba Tikhir informed that sub-stations/areas that would to be affected include Ganeshnagar, Jalukie, Chumukedima & Sovima Sub-stations (October 25 from 6am to 9am); Ganeshnagar Sub-station, Peren District, Shoxuvi & Dhansiripar (October 26 &27 from 9am to 2pm); Power House (Burma Camp), Dairy Farm, Nito Farm Sub-stations & Niuland (October 28 from 6am to 9am) and Dairy Farm, Nito Farm Sub-stations & Niuland (October 29 from 9am to 2pm).
