President Murmu to arrive today

President of India Droupadi Murmu will arrive Nagaland on a two-day maiden visit starting Wednesday.
The state government will accord her a civic reception at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on Wednesday.
Murmu will also virtually inaugurate various projects on Wednesday that includes— new government schools/buildings (13 GPS, 4 GMS buildings, 14 GHS and one GHSS building), 13 bridges and 11 roads across Nagaland, 10 Eklavya Model Residential Schools, setting up of smart classrooms in 190 government schools, new treasury building with SBI at the Capital Complex.
She is also scheduled to meet state ministers at Raj Bhavan, followed by a state banquet at CM’s residential complex on November 2. On Thursday, the President will visit the Kohima War Cemetery and Kigwema village.
Drones banned: In view of the VVIP visit to Nagaland on November 2 and 3, 2022, the Dimapur police would impose restriction/ban on certain activities from 6am of November 2 to 6pm of November 3 within Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts in the interest of security exigency.
In an order, the Commissioner of Police Dimapur R Tetseo has ordered ban on use of any kind of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) like drones etc.
Police have also banned conduct of any kind of firing practice by security forces/civil police/central police/private firing range or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms. Further, bursting of any kind of firecrackers has been banned.
Meanwhile, the civic reception programme, scheduled to be held at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on November 2 at 3 p.m., would be live streamed on DIPR YouTube channel
