Promotion issue: PDJESA announces stir from May 19

Power Department Junior Engineers’ Service Association (PDJESA) has announced democratic form of protest from May 19 by wearing black badges for three days followed by mass casual leave for three days.
PDJESA president L Hekuto and general secretary Razouvoyi Francis Rhakho informed that the association was opposed to recent formulation of Nagaland Engineering Service in such a way that Group-B cadre engineers were deprived of timely promotion to the post of SDO and also deprived of opportunity for further promotion to EE and above, as JEs will only get promoted on verge of retirement.
PDJESA also said it had submitted a representation to the State government on August 19, 2019 for the career progression of junior engineers.
In order to address the stagnation problem of JEs, the duo said PDJESA had sent repeated reminders to the government to address the grievances but regretted that the government had failed to take any positive step to date.
On behalf of the Association, expressed regret for inconvenience that might be caused to the public during the process of agitation.
