A consultative meeting was held between NSCN/GPRN and Pangti Village Council (PVC) on July 8 at Pangti village under Wokha district.
In a press release, PVC secretary W. Tsenthungo Jami and PVC chairman N. Rakamo Jami informed that during the meet, Rakomo on behalf of the council members and the people of Pangti village welcomed the NSCN leaders led by kilonser, ministry of information & publicity (MIP), O. Mozamo Ngullie and kilonser Yizamo Shitiri.
Mozamo Ngullie spoke on the present status of the ongoing Indo-Naga political negotiations and the Framework Agreement.
In this regard, he appealed to the people of Pangti to extend their prayers support for an honourable political settlement.
In his speech, Yizamo Shitiri recalled the sacrifices made by the pioneers of Pangti in the Naga national movement and emphasised on the need to stay united and firm for the common interest of Nagas.
At the meeting, members of PVC and NSCN/GPRN resolved to extend cooperation to each other for the welfare of the public and to
uphold each other in times of need for the people of Pangti.
PVC said since the inception of Naga freedom movement, the people of Pangti village have been selflessly participating in the Naga struggle.
In this regard, the members reaffirmed to uphold the integrity of Pangti village and to participate in the Naga political movement for a peaceful political settlement.
