‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’celebrated across Nagaland

Along with the rest of the country, educational institutions, departments and other organisations on October 31 celebrated “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”, to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first home minister of India after Independence.
CS: Carewell School celebrated the day by organising a “peaceful rally procession” participated by students and teachers. After the rally, a programme was held wherein, speeches on Sardar VallabhBhai Patel and the message of national integration were given by headmistress, DiethoninoSeyie and assistant headmaster, Avinash Mishra. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was also taken by all members of Carewell School. Different competitions on the topic, “role of Sardar VallabhBhai Patel in National integration” was also conducted.
LFIC: Livingstone Foundation International College celebratedthe day organising a programme, wherein the principal of the college shared the significance of the day. A pledge of unity was also taken by both the faculties and students. The programme was participated by the NSS volunteers and faculty members present and students.
PVHSS: Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur celebrated the day by organising a “Unity Run” which was participated by 160 students and teachers. In a programme after the “Unity Run”, vice-principal, A.K. Ray highlighted the contribution of Sardar Patel in unifying free India. The programme concluded with a pledge of unity.
Shamator: A “Unity Run” was organised by district administration Shamator to mark the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”. Villages from across the district participated in the run.
Noklak: Noklak district celebrated the day by organising a “Unity Run”where more than hundred students from Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Noklak participated. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Noklak, Hiazu Meru also delivered a word of encouragement before administering the pledge. To mark the day, oath taking ceremony was held in all the government offices, informed DIPR.
Phek: As part of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, NSS Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Phek, and department of youth resources and sports in collaboration with district administration Phek organised “Unity Run”. Flagging off the run, EAC Phek, Mechietsho Koza encouraged the participants to foster and reinforce their dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity and security of the country.
More than two hundred participants also too unity pledge.
