Reconsider transfer of Ph.D supervisor: RSF(KSCJ)

Research Scholars’ Forum of Kohima Science College (A), Jotsoma has expressed disappointment over the transfer of the dean of sciences and Ph.D supervisor to New Model College, Wakching, Mon and appealed to the responsible authority to reconsider the transfer order.
In a statement, the forum said that some scholars were currently working under the supervisor. Stating that the scholars were “solely dependent” on the supervisor, the forum questioned the policy and “actual intention” behind the transfer. It also questioned whether the authority took into consideration about the scholars and their future endeavours.
Asserting that the supervisor was the only expert in the field of Freshwater Ecology and Fish Biology in the institute, the forum expressed apprehension that his absence would create a major hindrance in their research activities. It, therefore, appealed to the authority to reconsider the transfer in the interest of the RSF in particular and the students of Kohima Science College and Nagas in general.
