Reports of post-poll violence

Barely few hours after polling for the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly concluded, suspected post-poll related violence was reported in Dimapur and Wokha.
Dimapur: In a suspected post-poll violence, unidentified miscreants fired several rounds in the air outside the residence of Kevijau Colony GB here on Monday night. Confirming the incident, commissioner of police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie stated that the miscreants came in a car (Maruti 800 or Alto) and fired several rounds into the air outside the residence of Kevijau Colony GB.
He said there were no casualties and that the police were investigating the case and trying to nab the culprits. Around seven-eight empty case of .32 bore ammunition were also recovered from the spot.

Wokha: In another post-poll related violence, the residence of the press secretary to deputy chief minister Y. Patton was reportedly burnt down Monday late night.
Sources informed Nagaland Post that the residence at Chukitong under Wokha district was burnt to ashes. No further details were known till the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, in another report, a house belonging to a senior citizen was purportedly vandalized by some unknown miscreants on Monday evening. In the video that went viral, it was mentioned that the miscreants pelted stones at house and also vandalized the properties.
