National People’s Party (NPP) Meghalaya team under the banner of National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) on Tuesday met with state chief minister Neiphiu Rio in Kohima and submitted a memorandum seeking action against the culprits responsible for the deaths of Rosy Sangma and her nephew, Samuel Sangma.
Speaking at a press conference here at Sky View restaurant, MDC Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, Aldo A Sangma stated that the primary purpose of the team’s visit was to meet Nagaland CM and submit a memorandum seeking justice for the death of Rosy Sangma due to negligence by Alfaa Health Care Hospital Gurugram and the mysterious death of Samuel Sangma in Delhi in 2021.
After recent revelations of the CBI, on confirming that the cause of death was due to negligence, Aldo stated that it was unfortunate and urged upon the CM to take up the case earnestly to deliver justice to the victims and their families.
With regard to meeting with CM, Aldo said the meeting ended on a “very positive” note and that the CM assured that he would be writing to the union ministry to pursue the case in order to serve justice.
Others who attended the press conference included state working NPYF Meghalaya unit president Dabo M Marak; NPYF secretary Meghalaya Tengrik M Sangma and Nagaland unit NPP president, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and others.
NGTC fetes VOY founder
Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) president Karampal G. Momin on August 6, wrote a letter of appreciation to founder of Voice of youth (VOY) YouTube, Harshit Dhingaun, for “exposing the truth” on social media.
In a press release, NGTC claimed that when Harshit Dhingaun visited the hospital, the doctor fled from the scene and that the hospital staff was “not ready” to talk about the mysterious death of late Rosy Sangma and late Samuel Sangma.
“Harshit Dhingaun not only exposed the hospital but also went to hotel in New Delhi where late Samuel Sangma was mysteriously dead”, the council stated.
In the letter, Nagaland Garo Tribal Council expressed gratitude on behalf of the Garos of Nagaland in particular and Garos of North East in general for his gesture.
