Royal Club Kohima observes raising day

Royal Club Kohima (RCK) observed its 36th raising day on November 1 at Rüleizou, Kohima with ex-chairman, NPSC, K Puro, as the main speaker. Addressing the club members, Puro dwelled on the genesis of the club and also the legacy of the club activities including conducting of Royal Gold Cup, an AIFF affiliated tournament, when the situation was not very conducive.


He urged the younger club members to explore avenues where the club could once again excel and regain the pristine image. Also exhorting the gathering, Rtd chief architect, Planning & Development, PWD, K Sono Mepfhüo and senior most club member Vituohu Rame, called upon the members to revive the club by equally contributing and embarking upon yeoman service again living to its motto of “Service To All”.


The day was also marked by singing extravaganza with a special number by former minister, Dr Nicky Kire.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by vice president, RCK, Kepelhutuo Nakhro, while invocation and welcome address was delivered by vice president, Kesao Kesiezie. Vote of thanks was proposed by property secretary, Atsüu while advisor, Thejao Vihienuo, pronounced the benediction.
