Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) on Saturday conducted the first phase collection of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” (RRR) campaign, at centralized temporary RRR centre, at Dimapur District Sports Complex (DDSC).
During the first phase campaign, items such as plastics, old books, footwear’s, used clothes, toys, and newspapers have been collected from more than 10 wards under RRR centers. The second phase of collection at the centralized temporary RRR centre would be caried out on June 3.
As part of RRR campaign, it was informed that DMC would be organising free distribution of reusable collected items on May 31, at Naga shopping arcade, from 9 am onwards, adding that those items would be made available for needy persons on first come first basis.
