SAMETI organises trg programme

DIMAPUR: State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) organised a training programme on “Management of water resources & low-cost water harvesting methods in NE states” for Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) at SAMETI Medziphema on March 29 and 30.
In a press release, SAMETI informed that the training was aimed at upgrading skills on management of water resources and low-cost water harvesting methods in North Eastern states.
Resource persons principal scientist (Agronomy) ICAR NER, Nagaland centre, Dr. Lohit K Baishya and SDO (SC) Jalukie, Suiyiheile trained the participants on scope and opportunity of water harvesting in NE region, management of water resources in agriculture sector and low-cost water harvesting structure in Nagaland.
A field visit to ICAR NER, Nagaland centre, Jharnapani, Nagaland was also organised for participants.
Later, during the valedictory programme, an interactive session with resource persons was held and certificates were distributed to trainees.
