SAPO, AYO condemn killing of 2 NAP jawans

Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) including all frontal organizations and Angami Youth Organization (AYO) have condemned the brutal murder of constable Kevisekho Khate of 10th IRB and Lance Naik T. Zewangha Yim NAP Ranger by their colleague Zenise Yoshü while on duty at Lamhainamdi village, Peren district.
SAPO: In a condemnation note, SAPO president Kevipodi Sohie and general secretary Swelul Pucho said such heinous act of crime deserved condemnation from all section of the society. They said SAPO and all its frontal organizations have faith that the criminal justice system would pronounce speedy trial and award the most befitting punishment as per the law of the land to the culprit.
They said such unwanted crime was alien to the Naga society and culture and the culprit deserved the highest degree of punishment.
SAPO and all its frontal organization extended profound sorrow and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. They also urged the State government to provide remedies and jobs avenues to the decease families.
AYO: The Angami Organization (AYO) also vehemently condemned the indiscriminate murder of the two jawan.
“The inhumane brutality of killing one’s own comrade is an abomination upon the society, and we feel only a senseless psychopath will dare to commit such gruesome crime,” AYO president Kekhrie Pfukha and general secretary Petevito Nakhro stated in a press note.
AYO appealed to the concerned authority to investigate the case at the earliest, and disclose to the public the motive behind the heinous murder of the two jawans.
AYO also urged the concerned authority to book the culprit and award befitting punishment as per the law, in order to ensure that justice was not denied to the slain jawans and their kith and kin.
The organization further conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved families of late Kevisekho Khate and late T Zewangha Yim and prayed that Almighty God grant comfort and solace to the bereaved families. AYO also prayed that the departed souls rest in eternal peace.
