As part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, State College of Teacher Education (SCTE) Kohima conducted club activities on theme “Insight to creativity” on May 5 in the college hall.
In a press release, SCTE informed that in her opening remarks, principal, Dr. Elizabeth Walling highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities in the academic life, which, she said was necessary for developing creative skills.
She also gave highlighted the significance of celebrating India’s rich history, culture and recent events.
Highlights of the event included demonstration of paper making, quiz competition, salad making, poster making, karaoke, face painting, extempore speech, science exhibition, etc.
Earlier, the inaugural session was chaired by Hukavi and invocation was offered by Verhazo Dawhuo while the closing function was chaired by assistant professor State College of Teacher Education, Tiajungla.
Later after the event, prizes were presented to all the winners. “The gastronome club” emerged as overall champions.
