The senior men’s inter-district cricket tournament hosted by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) got underway at two venues—Nagaland Cricket Stadium and Sovima Cricket Ground—on May 22, 2023.
In the first match played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, defending champions Dimapur walked past Zunheboto with a comfortable 6 wickets win to secure their first win of the Tournament.
Man of the Match was awarded to Tahmeed Rahman of Dimapur for his 5 wickets haul in 5.4 overs.
In the second match of the day, Wokha defeated Kohima by 24 runs. Man of the Match was awarded to Nchumbemo Humtsoe for his 39 runs knock.
In the first match played at Sovima Cricket Ground, Niuland triumphed over Kiphire by 9 wickets at the SCG. Vino G Zhimomi was awarded the man of the match as he pocketed 5 wickets in 6 overs for Niuland.
In the second match, Chumoukedima beat Tuensang. Man of the match was shared between the two brothers Sedezhalie Rupreo for his 100* runs (Not out) knock in 66 balls and Neizekho Rupreo for taking 5 wickets in 4 overs conceding only 6 runs.
