Sharingain, Pangjung hold thanksgiving prog

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker, Sharingain Longkumer, who has been elected from 26 Aonglenden A/C and advisor of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, A. Pangjung Jamir elected from 21 Tuli A/C held a thanksgiving programmes at their respective constituencies on Friday.
Addressing the programme held at Yimtsungta Arok Sapang, Ungma, Sharingain thanked the electorates for electing him for the second term and assured to work for the welfare of the people.
He also shared his vision to bring about equal distribution of development, in terms of infrastructure and employment in the constituency.
On the Urban Local Bodies elections, Sharingain said that Nagaland Municipal Act 2001 was strongly opposed by the people and for which the government has repealed the Municipal Act.
Short speeches were delivered by representatives from NDPP, Mokokchung Region, president 26 A/C BJP Mandal and 7 units ward and village authorities of the constituency. The programme was chaired by 26 A/C general secretary (adm) M Sutsung Jamir, welcome address by 26 A/C president, Nungsangmeren Longkumer while the vote of thanks was proposed by 26 A/C vice-president, Lipoktemsu Imsong.
Earlier, the programme began with an invocation by associate pastor, Women, UBA, Talijungla and benediction by associate pastor, UBA, T. Wati.
Pangjung promises to uphold election motto
Pangjung Jamir has assured to the supporters to work with dedication and new vision as mentioned in his election motto “New Vision, New Direction”. He said this while addressing a thanksgiving programme held at public ground, Shitikolak Ward, Tuli.
The advisor also acknowledged the general public for giving him an opportunity to represent 21 Tuli AC.
Short speeches were delivered by Asangma Village Council, Kangtsung Village Councl, Wameken Village Council, Anaki Village Council, Tzudikong Adhoc Town committee and others. Earlier, the programme began with an invocation by pastor ABA, T. Anungba and benediction by P.B. Wati pastor I/c TTBC.
