Department of Political Science, St Joseph University, Chumoukedima celebrated the International Day of Peace, under the theme “Action for Peace” on September 21, at the University Auditorium.
A press release from Asst. Professor Dr. Alemmenla Walling informed that the guest speaker, Principal, C-Edge College, Chumoukedima Dr. Chubatola Aier, spoke on the essence of “Peace Making and Peace Keeping”. She said that “Peace is possible, it is attainable” and for this everybody must become “valued Peace Makers and Peace Keepers”.
Earlier, the programme started with invocation by Asst. Prof, department of Science Nangzuknungla, welcome address by Asst. Prof, department of political science Benjungnungsang, vote of thanks by Asst. Prof, political science Cheme and benediction by PRO, SJU Father Anish.
