SJU organises ‘placement drive programme’

St. Joseph University, Nagaland organised a two-day “placement drive programme” in collaboration with ICT Academy on the July 22 and 23. The programme was conducted by MMC InfoTech Services Pvt. Ltd, Chennai at the university campus.
In a press release, SJU PRO, Fr L. Anish informed that the inaugural session was hosted by assistant professor, department of Computer Science, Mary Debbarma.
In her address, assistant professor, Department of Computer Science, Ankita Sarma welcomed the guests— Deep Sekhar Sapcota, relationship manager, ICT academy, Badrinath assistant vice president and Kirthivasan. S, deputy manager, both from MMC InfoTech services Pvt Ltd.
She also extended greetings to dean of administration Rev. Dr. I. Arockia Mary, financial controller Rev. Sr. Chinnama, dean of academics Dr. Kinitoli H Yeptho, head of the department and ICT coordinator Dr. S. Pradeep Kumar Kenny and the gathering.
Badrinath briefed the students on the placement drive, about the job recruitment process and MMC Info Tech Services Pvt Ltd.
Later, assistant professor, department of Computer Science, C.R. Claina proposed vote of thanks, followed by benediction by financial controller Rev. Sr. Chinnama.
After the inaugural programme, the placement drive began with written tests where students were asked to write about scenarios they would face in the job environment.
After the first round, the papers where evaluated and potential candidates where asked to face the HR round.
Around 200 students from passed out batch and final year batches participated and 18 students were shortlisted for the final round of interview after scrutiny.
