Skill development training underway at Longkhim town

The fifth lap of the “demand-driven skill development training programme” for the youth of Nagaland in the construction sector got underway on July 4, at Longkhim Town under Tuensang district.
According to a DIPR report, the training is being organised by the department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and District Skill Committee, Tuensang with Zynorique Initiative Society as empaneled training partner.
At the inaugural programme, a short speech on the importance of skill development and opportunities in the construction sector was shared by additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Longkhim, Phuleshe K Yepthomi.


Earlier, welcome address on behalf of the department was delivered by government ITI Tuensang, vice-principal, Er. Netenba Ajem while dedicatory prayer for the youth and the training was offered by Longkhim Town Baptist Church pastor, Dr. Longre.
Altogether, 50 unemployed youth will be trained in “plumbing and electrician works.”
