A social protection camp for People Living with HIV (PLHIV), Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) and spouses was held on August 3 at Control Room, Community Health Centre (CHC) Jalukie.
The camp was organised by District AIDS Prevention Control Unit (DAPCU) Peren in collaboration with Sub Divisional Agriculture Office, Jalukie, State Bank of India, Jalukie, District Industries Centre Peren and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Peren.
A press release by medical department stated that the resource persons were SDAO, Jalukie, Dr.Bermjungla, functional manager, DIC Peren, Alum Zeliang, chief technical officer animal KVK Peren, Dr.L.Bobita Devi and branch manager, SBI Jalukie, Saurav Sharma. During the sessions, the resource persons encouraged the attendees to inculcate work culture and start developing own income generation plan.
The attendees were informed that the government agency acts as a service provider to capacitate and train the beneficiaries. They were also briefed on how to avail different schemes and procedure of availing it.
