A soil testing laboratory was inaugurated by Thongwang Konyak, MLA, on February 2 in the presence of deputy commissioner (DC) Mon, Thavaseelan K at the district soil conservation office, Mon.
According to a DIPR report, Thongwang appreciated the department for implementing the much-needed project in the district. He said the project would greatly benefit agriculture sector of the district. Block level soil testing equipment was also launched during the programme chaired by SDO (SC) Aboi, W. Shoyan Konyak.
A dedicatory prayer was pronounced by district chaplain Mon, Rev. Ashok Konyak while the vote of thanks was delivered by DSCO, Mon, Chumei Yanlem.
