St. John College (SJC) conducted a two-day orientation programme for students of first semester on June 23 and 24.
In a press release, SJC informed that during the two-day orientation programme, students were familiarised on core courses and were introduced to the newly implemented CBCS course.
In a PowerPoint presentation, students were oriented on syllabus design, the shift from school learning to college learning, and were also acquainted on various committees, clubs, and departmental activities.
Meanwhile, the second day, a brief lecture on importance of discipline, expected roles as a student, and the mentor/mentee programme was conducted.
Later, students were taken on a campus visitation after which, each batch sat through a brief library orientation at the college library.
